I am 59 years old and have had Acne problems all my life. So when Rosacea showed up about 7 years ago,  I faced yet another skin challenge.

The new MetroGel 1% gel has been a Godsend in that it allows me to be more compliant with my skin care regimen. It has replaced Metrolotion that must be used twice daily. Not only do I now have one less "thing" to do but the new MetroGel has improved the condition of my skin and decreased the redness as well. I am very,  very pleased with the outcome. After using MetroGel for only one month - my skin is looking good and I have had no major outbreaks. Nice, effective product that delivers what it promises.

My dermatologist recently gave me a sample of the new MetroGel 1%.  It is absolutely wonderful!  I live in Oklahoma where winds and winter can play havoc on rosacea, plus I do kick-boxing (or any strenous exercise) which often aggravates my rosacea.  The new MetroGel 1% has kept my rosacea under control and is so easy to use -- I put it on before bedtime and am good to go.  The following day I use only moisturizer and make up.  The new MetroGel 1% is lightweight, applies smoothly and easily and goes right to work.  For me using the new MetroGel 1% has allowed me the opportunity to quit focusing on the rosacea as it has quit being a daily problem for me!  Plus, in the last month I have received more compliments on how great my skin looks.

I am 63 years old and have had rosacea for most of my life.  Until I tried MetroGel, the only remedy was a daily dose of antibiotics.  I tried and discarded many topical applications due to their being too odorous, too sticky, or nonperforming.  Further,  most stained clothes and pillowcases.  MetroGel is the first product that I have used which has permitted to practically discontinue use of the antibiotics.  A great product!

The following adverse experiences have been reported with the topical treatment of metronidazole: burning, skin irritation, dryness, transient redness, metallic taste, tingling or numbness of extremities and nausea.
